I'm Meredith, a third-year student studying Computer Science and Neuroscience, with a minor in Math, at Northeastern University. I'm passionate about the intersection of software and the brain, especially computational modeling of neural systems.

Through co-op experiences in research labs and software development, I've built full-stack applications, automated complex molecular dynamics pipelines, written agentic AI tools to streamline computational workflows, and developed programs to simulate molecular behavior. I prioritize clean, scalable code and thrive working across interdisciplinary teams.

I'm currently seeking co-op and internship opportunities for Spring 2027, particularly in software engineering, research engineering, or health tech where I can contribute to meaningful, innovative work.

Outside of academics, I recharge with yoga, surfing, and walking my dog on the beach.

I develop scalable, object-oriented Python programs to automate molecular dynamics simulations and quantum chemistry workflows, significantly increasing throughput and reducing manual setup. By applying software engineering best practices, such as version control, modular design, and comprehensive documentation, I create maintainable tools used across lab projects. I also design statistical algorithms to validate model predictions and optimize data processing, collaborating closely with chemists to translate complex scientific requirements into reliable software solutions.

To support large-scale analysis, I integrated and managed a PostgreSQL database, and deployed Superset via Docker to create interactive dashboards and share actionable insights with stakeholders.

A full-stack mobile meal and workout planning app powered by an agentic AI layer that generates personalized weekly plans based on macro targets, dietary preferences, and essential amino acid completeness. Completed features include a Hono/TypeScript REST backend with a class-based service layer, shared TypeScript type definitions between frontend and backend, Supabase with pgvector, JWT authentication, and a full onboarding flow built in Expo and React Native that captures dietary preferences, self-reported deficiencies, injuries, cooking constraints, and workout preferences. In progress: real-time SSE streaming, a Groq-powered agentic meal recommendation engine with tool use, injury-aware workout scheduling with nutrition-recovery connections, and a FastAPI contextual bandit personalization sidecar that adapts recommendations over time.

A full-stack protein research platform integrating four biomedical APIs (RCSB, UniProt, ChEMBL, Open Targets) via a parallel async fan-out architecture to surface protein structure, function, drug interactions, and disease associations in one interface. Features ML-powered similarity search using Meta's ESM-2 protein language model to generate sequence embeddings stored and queried with pgvector cosine similarity. Built with Spring Boot and React, with JWT authentication, a hybrid JPA/JdbcTemplate persistence layer, Docker containerization, and automated deployment to AWS via Terraform and GitHub Actions CI/CD.
